Price the decision before the money moves.

Know which customers, routes, and services actually make you money. We bring strategic finance, BI, and AI-built tools to service businesses, so every big call has a breakeven date and a worst case before you sign.

Who it’s for

Owner-led service businesses, commercial and residential.

HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Pest control, lawn, and landscape. Pool service, cleaning, and janitorial. Commercial print and job shops. Companies with trucks on the road or jobs on the floor, recurring customers, and an owner who still makes the big calls.

  • You know revenue to the dollar, but not which services, customers, or routes earn it.
  • A big decision is coming: a branch, a price change, trucks, a hire, a new territory.
  • The data lives in your books and your field-service system, but no one turns it into answers.
  • Your bookkeeper closes the books and your CPA files the taxes. Neither one tells you what the next branch is worth.

The problems we solve

The questions that move margin and cash.

01

Pricing and margin

What each service line, customer, and job type really earns, where a price change pays, and how many customers you can lose and still come out ahead.

02

Route, crew, and branch economics

Contribution margin and cost to serve by route, crew, and branch. Revenue per tech-hour. Which zips to grow, reprice, or exit.

03

Capex and expansion calls

New branches and territories, trucks and equipment, lease or buy, and new service lines. Base, upside, and downside cases, breakeven month, and cash at risk.

04

Cash and AR

AR aging and collections, a 13-week cash view, the seasonal low point, and when the next hire or line of credit makes sense.

05

BI dashboards

A weekly view of the numbers that matter, reconciled to your books and built on the systems you already use. Each metric is tied to dollars.

06

AI-built internal tools

Turn a recurring question into a live tool: a quote checker, a pricing calculator, a route density map, or a weekly owner email.

Bookkeeping and tax stay with your bookkeeper and CPA.

How we create value

One method, from first question to live tool.

Every engagement follows the same decision lifecycle. Guardrails come first, results are read back honestly, and the questions you ask every month become tools.

  1. 01

    Frame

Agree on the decision and its guardrails up front: breakeven month, maximum cash at risk, target margin, payback.

  2. 02

    Underwrite

Build base, upside, and downside cases from your own books and job data, reconciled before we show a number.

  3. 03

    Decide

Sit down with the owner. Get a clear go, no-go, or “go if…” with the downside and the cash in plain view.

  4. 04

    Pilot

Start small, with a control group or a clean before-and-after, so the result can be measured.

  5. 05

    Read back

Measure what actually happened, with seasonality and growth stripped out. Attribute results conservatively.

  6. 06

    Scale, fix, or stop

Act on the read. Then turn the recurring question into a live dashboard or tool so the answer stays current.

Engagements

Start small. Keep what works.

We suggest starting with a Business Diagnostic. Scope is agreed in writing before any work begins.

01

Business Diagnostic

1–2 weeks · fixed scope

A first look at where your business makes and loses money, built from a few standard reports.

  • A view of the business by service line, customer, and route
  • The few areas we would work on first, and why
  • A walkthrough with the owner. You keep the output either way.
02

Decision Case

About 3–5 weeks · one decision

One big call priced before the money moves: a branch or territory, a price increase, trucks or equipment, a new service line, or a route redesign.

  • Base, upside, and downside cases
  • Breakeven month, maximum cash at risk, and guardrails
  • A clear recommendation, then a read-back after launch
03

Fractional Strategic Finance & BI

Monthly · sized by hours

Ongoing strategic finance for owners who want the numbers current and the big decisions priced as they come up.

  • A monthly unit-economics pack and a live dashboard
  • Decisions priced as they come up, and pilot read-backs
  • Regular owner meetings and questions answered between them
04

AI Tool Build

About 3–6 weeks · one tool

A working tool on your own data that turns a recurring question into a live answer.

  • Examples: a KPI dashboard, quote checker, pricing calculator, or route density map
  • Built around the systems you already use
  • Handoff and training, with optional ongoing support

Questions

Frequently asked.

Are you a bookkeeper or a CPA?

No. We don’t close the books or file taxes. We work on the owner’s decisions: pricing, margin, capital, cash, and the tools to track them. We work alongside your bookkeeper and CPA.

Do you only work with pest control companies?

No. We work with service businesses broadly, commercial and residential: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest, lawn and landscape, pool, cleaning and janitorial, and commercial print and job shops. For pest control operators, see pest control consulting.

What do you need from us to start?

Usually a monthly P&L, an invoice or job export from your field-service or accounting system, and AR aging. Tech hours, route data, and a price list help if you have them. We’ll agree on the list on the first call.

Do we need new software?

No. We start with the systems you already use. If we build a dashboard or a tool, it’s built around them.

How do you handle our data?

Only the people working on your business see it. We set up a secure way to share files after the first call. Please don’t send financial files through the contact form.

What does it cost?

It depends on scope. We agree on scope and cost in writing before any work starts, and we’ll cover it on the first call once we understand the decision in front of you.

What decision is in front of you?

Tell us about it. We’ll tell you what we’d need to answer it.
